Pierre Ménès expressed all his bitterness towards his former friend at Canal Football Club, Hervé Mathoux.
The divide is total. Long an accomplice with Hervé Mathoux, Pierre Ménès now maintains very fresh relations with the presenter of Canal Football Club. In his latest video published on his YouTube channel, the former Canal + columnist released an anecdote which says a lot about the esteem he has today for his former friend.
“ At the time of the CFC, I remember a quarrel which was not even off camera with Alain Roche, whom I adore. It was during a Lille-PSG match, when LOSC beat Paris 5-1 (in 2019). I think Paris Saint-Germain were missing seven players, and at half-time there was, it seems to me, the expulsion of Thiago Silva (of Juan Bernat in reality, editor’s note) and the injury of Maxwell (of Thiago Silva and Thomas Meunier, editor’s note). Alain Roche says that Paris is not good and I tell him ‘but which PSG are we talking about. EThere he made a somewhat contemptuous comment to me which I took very badly because I am not always perfect in my reactions and it came on the air quite loudly in the towers. And obviously, that’s too much to ask, Hervé Mathoux once again didn’t come to my defense and I really got very, very angry. »
Ménès on Mathoux: “He let me down like shit”
In the past, Pierre Ménès had not hesitated to tackle Hervé Mathoux. “ Not once in two years (Hervé Mathoux checked in on him, editor’s note). But I’m not surprised I knew he was like that », the journalist said on his X account.
And Pierre Ménès concluded, bitterly: “ He dropped me like shit. For two years, not a message, nothing. But that didn’t even surprise me.”
