Now away from television sets, since the broadcast in 2021 of the documentary directed by Marie Portolano, Pierre Ménès has not definitively cut the microphone. On his YouTube channel, the journalist continues to comment on and analyze sports news.
The 61-year-old sports journalist is also very present on social networks, in particular on X (formerly Twitter). However, for a whole week, he had absolutely no appearance on the platform owned by Elon Musk.
“There you go, after six days, I got my account back. Phew »he wrote on Friday, visibly relieved.
Pierre Ménès, a past which does not plead in his favor
Many Internet users imagined that he had been suspended by X, following reports. Pierre Ménès justified this absence by “a bug when changing phones”. To be able to recover his account, the former sidekick of Hervé Mathoux in the “Canal Football Club” will even mention “harassment on Twitter”.
Obviously, not everyone is delighted to see him again on the famous social network. “It was a vacation for us! »means a user. “Shut up pervert”, another throws at him, probably alluding to the sexual assault case of which Pierre Ménès was found guilty by the Paris criminal court, in April 2023.
