The famous journalist, Pierre Ménès, predicted a victory for Vincent Labrune in the LFP elections, and in a rigged manner.

The LFP presidency elections are taking place next week. Vincent Labrune is competing with Cyril Linette for this position. The battle seems balanced, but for some it is a foregone conclusion. This is what Pierre Ménès thinks in particular.

Speaking on social media, the former journalist from L’Equipe indicated that the outgoing president managed to ensure that there was no suspense and that he won the elections hands down. He highlighted the reprehensible methods he used to remain in office for a few more years.

Menes denounces an absolute shame

“Labrune and his henchmen Caillot and Nicollin are busy cooking up their dirty tricks for the league elections. According to my information, everything is locked down and we’re going to have to deal with a sham vote. It’s an absolute disgrace.”he wrote on X (ex-Twitter).

Ménès was not the only media figure to denounce Labrune’s monopoly on French professional football. The day before, Sébastien Tarrago, a journalist from L’Equipe, took him to task, calling him a “genius of illusion” for having managed to “fool” everyone with his speech.
