Carragher told Sky Sports: "Just get down the tunnel, you've won a game.
"Three points, you've been brilliant, back in the title race. Get down the tunnel!"
Five days later, Morgan is still raging about Carragher's opinion and delivered a furious rant on talkSPORT.
He said: "Absolutely pathetic! Here's the deal: VAR has sucked all the life out of goalscoring.
"So when someone scores now, no-one can celebrate, because you have to wait ten minutes to see if some little clod in an office somewhere has decided if someone's erect nipple is one inch ahead of his head.
"I just think the whole thing has got completely ridiculous with VAR. It's sucked the joy and fun out of watching live football.
"So what have we got left? Well, we've got winning a match against a team that are top of the league and playing brilliantly. We totally dismantled them at the Emirates in front of a buzzing crowd.
Arteta went wild when Arsenal's third goal went inCredit: Getty"What crimes did we commit? Arteta runs down the touchline jubilantly, just like [Jose] Mourinho did against [Sir Alex] Ferguson, just like [Jurgen] Klopp has done a million times, just like every damn manager in the history of football has done when his team roll over the team at the top of the league and play that well.
"And then what happens? Our captain Odegaard has the audacity to take a picture of Stuart MacFarlane, the club photographer and an absolute club legend, with the fans - and this is apparently the most heinous crime in football history.
Jamie Carragher not impressed by wholesome moment between Martin Odegaard and Arsenal photographer
"Jamie Carragher, shut up. My spleen is beginning to vent. I was leaping around like an overexcited rabbit when those goals went in and I make no apology for it.
"We are allowed to celebrate a great win."
