Continuation of the 13th day of the Premier League this Saturday afternoon. After the traditional 3 p.m. multiplex, there was a rather exciting match between West Ham and Arsenal. The Gunners, who remain on a large victory against Nottingham Forest (3-0) in the Premier League and another against Sporting (5-1) in C1, had the opportunity to get on the podium in the event of success. But it wasn’t easy against the Hammers, who were struggling this season, but who wanted to get back on track quickly. But Julen Lopetegui’s men were no match for Arsenal’s offensive armada which clearly confirmed their return to form. After 36 minutes of play, Mikel Arteta’s team led… 4-0.

Central defender Gabriel, already a scorer against Sporting, lit the first fuse in this match (1-0, 10th) before Leandro Trossard made the break (2-0, 27th). In the process, Martin Odegaard did not tremble when converting his penalty (3-0, 34th). Kai Havertz, barely two minutes later, also scored his goal (4-0, 36th). Stunned, West Ham managed to score two goals immediately afterwards thanks to Wan-Bissaka (on a pass from former Parisian Carlos Soler) and Emerson. Enough to revive interest in the match and make Arsenal doubt? Not really since just before the break, this time it was Bukayo Saka who converted a penalty (5-2, 45th+5). Returning from the locker room, Arsenal managed their match calmly and maintained their advantage until the end. With this new great victory, the London team sends a strong message to the competition and climbs to 2nd place in the ranking while awaiting the Manchester City and Chelsea matches. For its part, West Ham confirms its complicated start to the season and sinks into the second part of the table.
