Chelsea continued her irregular series by losing 2-1 on the Aston Villa field during the 26th day of the Premier League. Enzo Fernandez had however opened the scoring in the 9th minute (0-1), but the blues could not keep their advantage in a rather balanced meeting.

Asensio, loaned by Paris Saint-Germain, was the hero of the match by scoring his first two goals under his new colors (57th, 1-1 and 89th, 1-2), on two assists of Rashford. This defeat relegates Chelsea to 6th place, with only one point ahead of Aston Villa, now 7th.
