There was plenty of Premier League action this Saturday. If most matches are postponed with the FA Cup, the 4 p.m. multiplex offered us two small matches with Burnley hosting Brentford. The objective was clear for Vincent Kompany’s team, to take the three points to hope to survive until the last day (the team was bottom at kick-off). Well, it’s done thanks to this 2-1 victory. The teammates of Datro Fofana, scorer, were greatly helped by the expulsion of Reguilon at the very start of the match for Brentford.
In the other meeting of the day, Luton Town, also at the bottom of the table (18th), also wanted to get out of the red zone against a direct competitor Nottingham Forest (17th). The Reds looked to hold on to victory thanks to a goal from Chris Wood but Luton ended up equalizing in the dying moments of the match to secure the draw point and still stay alive in the league.
