Nothing is going to Manchester United, in all areas. In great sporting difficulty with a 16th place in the Premier League after 26 days of the first league disputed, the Mancunian club has also been going through a financial crisis for several years, despite a very large wage bill of its workforce. Indeed, the Red Devils have already deleted 250 positions last year and announced this Monday “Transform its corporate structure in order to improve the club's financial viability and to strengthen its operational efficiency”.

Thus, the transformation plan aims to “Restoring the club's profitability after five consecutive years of losses since 2019. This will create a more solid financial platform from which the club will be able to invest in the success of male and female football and in the improvement of infrastructure. As part of these measures, the club provides that around 150 to 200 jobs could be deleted, subject to a consultation process with employees. These positions would be added to the 250 positions deleted last year ”. A total of around 450 layoffs in just two years.
