After an important victory against Manchester United last weekend, Nottingham Forest (5th) hosted Aston Villa (6th) this Saturday, during the 16th day of the Premier League. With the opportunity, for the winner of this meeting, to overtake Manchester City (4th) in the standings. Dominated during a good part of the meeting, the Villans were able to count on a very good Emiliano Martínez, author of a superb save against Nico Dominguez (60th). A few minutes later, Jhon Duran allowed Aston Villa to lead at the City Ground (63rd, 0-1).

But Nuno Espirito Santo’s men never gave up. After Chris Wood’s goal was disallowed for offside, Nikola Milenkkovic allowed the two teams to be tied again (87th, 1-1). Before Anthony Elanga, who had not scored since last February, gave Forest the advantage in the last minutes of the match (90th + 3, 2-1). On arrival, Nottingham Forest temporarily passes Manchester City, before their derby against United, and is 4th in the standings of this PL. Villa remains 5th.
