The Premier League has announced the eight-man shortlist for the August Player of the Month award. Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford), Amadou Onana (Aston Villa), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), David Raya (Arsenal), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Danny Welbeck (Brighton) have been selected.
English league fans can vote on the official website to elect their player of the month. The winner will be announced on Monday, September 9. If he wins, Mohamed Salah would get closer to the absolute record held by Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero (7). Since his arrival at Liverpool in 2017, the Egyptian has won this monthly distinction five times.
