On X, the English championship indicated that after their defeat at Newcastle, “Sheffield Utd relegated pending points deduction appeals from Everton and Nottingham Forest”as reported by Daily Star. Thus, this post suggested that Everton and Nottingham were going to be penalized with a withdrawal of points, except that as it stands, nothing indicates that this will be the case. As a reminder, both teams are in the sights of the PL due to a violation of the rules of profitability and sustainability of the championship.
