Following Aston Villa's hiccup yesterday against Brentford (3-3), Tottenham hosted Nottingham Forest this evening with the desire to overtake the Villans (with one game in hand over the Birmingham club). Ange Postecoglou's team also started strong by causing Murillo's own goal (15th) but Nottingham Forest quickly reacted via Chris Wood well served by Anthony Elanga (27th).

First of all Micky van de Ven gave the advantage back to Spurs (53rd) and Pedro Porro widened the gap immediately (58th). Ultimately, this 3-1 victory allows Tottenham to climb into the top 4 by overtaking Aston Villa.
