Planetarium Labs plans to introduce new missions for the game via the Immortal Vault, a quest platform where users can earn ORB by completing social quests.

Planetarium Labs, a Web3-focused game company based in Singapore, has officially opened pre-registration for Immortal Rising 2, the highly anticipated sequel to its successful Immortal Rising franchise.

According to a recent announcement, pre-registration for Immortal Rising 2 began on August 19 and will run for approximately three weeks. The game is set to launch on Immutable zkEVM, a blockchain protocol focused on games.  However, an official release date has yet to be confirmed.

Planetarium Labs to Introduce New Missions

For now, players can pre-register to receive exclusive in-game rewards, including 3,000 free equipment summons which could be used at launch.

As part of the pre-launch celebrations, Planetarium Labs plans to introduce new missions for the game via the Immortal Vault, a quest platform where users can earn ORB by completing social quests.

According to the company, ORB will function as mileage points, usable for upcoming milestones and events leading up to the grand launch.

The pre-registration became open to the public after a highly successful second Closed Beta Test (CBT), which saw participation from players across 45 countries. Planetarium Labs said the CBT yielded impressive retention rates, with 75% of players returning on Day 1 and 65% by Day 3.

The company’s CEO JC Kim said the results of the CBT show that the upcoming game resonates with the Immortal Rising community.

“We are very excited for the launch of Immortal Rising 2. Achieving such high retention rates is a rare and strong indicator that our game resonates with players. We’re confident it will captivate gamers around the world, offering an unparalleled gaming experience.”

Immortal Rising Welcomes New Players

Since the announcement of the sequel in June, the Immortal Rising community has grown significantly, attracting over 150,000 members in less than two months.

The game is being developed by the original team at Bad Beans. Planetarium Lab said it features enhanced combat mechanics, isometric views, diverse skill tree combinations, guild content, and sustainable tokenomics.

The development team includes the lead game designer from Dave the Diver, an indie hit that sold over 1 million copies in just 10 days of launch on Steam.

The sequel promises to build on the strengths of its predecessor. The original game garnered over 2 million downloads globally during its time of launch, dominating the simulation genre. It also went ahead to become the highest-grossing app at the time.

Planetarium Labs is hoping to beat this record with Immortal Rising 2.  The company aims to elevate the gaming experience with fresh content and blockchain integration.
