The CP added that some of the successes recorded by the command include the arrest of two notorious kidnappers’ informants – Inusa Ibrahim and Hamisu Musa, who were caught making phone calls to suspected bandits, providing them with names of individuals targeted for kidnapping in their village.
He added that operatives of the command also arrested two notorious motorcycle snatchers, Ibrahim Abubakar and Surakatu Usman, who used a sledgehammer to attack their victims and steal their motorcycles.
In addition, he said the command recovered 16 motorcycles and three tricycles from the suspects and arrested their receiver, Yahya Muhammad.
According to him, the command also rescued 23 kidnapped victims, who were abducted by a gang of armed bandits in the Kajuru Local Government Area.
Rabiu attributed the successes recorded by the command to the relentless efforts of his officers and men, the cooperation of well-meaning residents, and the support of security stakeholders across the state.
He warned criminal elements that the state is no longer a haven for them while urging citizens to remain law-abiding and support the police by providing timely and credible information.
