Portable loses big after calling #EndBadGovernance protesters poor, lazy

Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has lost over one hundred thousand followers in less than 24 hours for tagging #Endbadgovernance protesters as poør and lazy.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the nationwide protests against hunger, economic hardship started on Thursday, August 1, 2024, and have been scheduled to stretch till August 10 across all states of the Federation as well as the nation’s capital Abuja.

Reacting to the ongoing protest, the loud mouthed music star stated that the joblessness of the protesters who are largely young people had led them to protest nationwide.

The artist further urged them to fight for themselves, and leave the government out of their mess.

Incited by the singer’ statement, many of his fans began to unfollow him on his Instagram page. 

Quick checks shows that the singer following dropped from 2.9 to 2.8 million in less than 24 hours.

Following the backlashed faced, Portable stormed the streets on Saturday to give out food items such as noodles, spaghetti and many more to the pøor in his community.
