Bournemouth recently acquired the services of Barcelona’s defensive outcast Julian Araujo, for a fee of €10 million.

But it appears the Premier League outfit could continue to play a key role in Barcelona’s squad-building this summer, as they are also close to acquiring FC Porto attacker Evanilson.

Big boost for Vitor Roque?

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, this is a significant development, given the fact that Porto may receive about €47 million for the young attacker.

Part of the €47 million could be used by FC Porto to re-invest in an attacker and that is where Vitor Roque comes into the fray.

The Portuguese giants have been on the lookout for a new attacker for the majority of the summer so far. However, they were not quite able to reach an agreement due to the club’s financial constraints.

However, the recent sale of Evanilson could open the door for Porto to make a fresh move for Vitor Roque, a potential target for club president Andres Vilas Boas.

Barcelona, for their part, have had no shortage of suitors for the Brazilian outcast. In fact, Porto’s league rival Sporting CP were interested in a move for the young attacker but were not able to conjure up the required sum.

The Catalans are reportedly holding out for a figure of at least €30 million for the sale of Roque, as they look to recoup the majority of the investment they made in the winger in January.

Therefore, the coming days could prove to be crucial as Barcelona look to sanction the sale of Vitor Roque, which in turn, could help the club register key players like Inigo Martinez and Dani Olmo.
