Aston Villa are enjoying themselves at the front of this Premier League. The Birmingham team made short work of Sheffield United (0-5). Yet at home, the bottom of the championship did not see the light of day in this part. John McGinn begins hostilities in the 12th minute of play, after an excellent deep serve. Once again on the fast track, Ollie Watkins doubles the lead very quickly (16th). The English international is in all the good shots and becomes a decisive passer for the Villans’ third goal signed Leon Bailey (20th). Three goals in eight minutes, Sheffield United fail to stop the opposing steamroller. They even scored a fourth goal before the break through Youri Tielemans (30th).

All the attackers will have scored in a perfect first half. Alex Moreno joins the party after the restart thanks to another assist from Ollie Watkins (47th). Sheffield United could have saved the honor with Vinicius de Souza in added time (90th + 1). But the problems continue for the Blades, who are denied the goal after intervention by the VAR. With only one point gained in almost two months, they are buried in last place in the championship, ten points from the first non-relegation place. This large success allows the Villans to regain their 4th place and take two points from Tottenham, held back earlier in the day by Everton.
