It has all been going smoothly so far for Manchester United in the transfer market this summer.
However, it could all change with West Ham United involved in talks to sign Man United target.
The Hammers have appointed new manager Julen Lopetegui after the end of last season and he is now determined to strengthen their squad by adding quality and depth.
In doing so, West Ham have targeted a move for a Man United transfer target.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany claims that West Ham are in negotiations to recruit Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui and the German giants are willing to let go of the Morocco international this summer for €20 million (£17 million).
West Ham United have moved ahead of Man United in the race to sign Noussair Mazraoui. The right-back is being chased by Man United as they look to offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka and sign a more attack minded player in that position.
Plettenberg provided the update on his X account.
🚨⚒️ West Ham, still pushing to sign Noussair #Mazraoui!
More talks with FC Bayern in the last hours. Bayern, more than willing to sell the 26 y/o.
Bayern now demand at least €20m. No agreement with #WHUFC yet. Tim Steidten and Julen Lopetegui want him. Aaron Wan-Bissaka,… pic.twitter.com/F8taHHRhPI

Man United cannot waste time if they want Mazraoui
United will have to act quickly if they are serious in signing the Bayern Munich player.
The Hammers are ahead of United in the race at the moment and they could make a huge statement if they win the race to sign the player.
The Red Devils have made up their mind to strengthen the full-back position and sign a less defensive player in that position, unlike Wan-Bissaka, in order to play the football manager Erik ten Hag wants to play at the club.
