Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez is attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs ahead of a potential summer move away from the club.
After joining Man City in the summer transfer window of 2022 from River Plate, the Argentina international had a spectacular debut campaign. He went on to win a historic treble on his first attempt.
In 2024, the striker has made just six starts for Pep Guardiola’s team with Erling Haaland leading the attack for the Sky Blues.
The 24-year-old is reportedly being pursued by Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, with several clubs keen to attempt and finalise a transfer for the Man City attacker, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Man City want to keep the attacker at the Etihad Stadium and he has done reasonably well for the club whenever he has been given the chances to perform.
In the 2023–2024 season, the Argentine striker contributed directly to 30 goals for the Sky Blues.
Man City may also be ready for interest from a Premier League team, as Gaston Edul has said that an unidentified English club may make an approach for Alvarez.
Man City’s Julian Alvarez has suffered from the excellent goalscoring form of Erling Haaland.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the striker but the Premier League champions will be willing to do everything they can to hold on to the striker.
His versatility to play in a number of different positions is a huge asset for the Premier League club.
Alvarez is a useful backup for Haaland, who spent some time out of the team because of fitness issues last season.
Man City should keep Alvarez at the club
City should hold on to the player as he has settled well in the system that Guardiola likes to deploy at the Etihad Stadium.
He is an ideal player for City, who likes to play on the front foot by pressing the opposition and Alvarez leads the press from the attack.
A move away from the Etihad Stadium can offer the player more playing time and a starting role elsewhere, which will be a key factor in his decision making.
