Bayern Munich are set for a major clear-out this summer with only four members of the current first-team squad regarded as ‘untouchable’ ahead of the summer transfer window.

The German giants look to be on course for a first season without a league title in 12 years, trailing leaders Bayer Leverkusen by eight points.

Thomas Tuchel finds himself under mounting pressure with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being considered as a possible interim option should the Bayern head coach be sacked before the end of the season.

Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso has also been targeted to replace the former Chelsea manager this summer.

Bayern are also set to appoint a new sporting director in Max Eberl following his successful spells at Borussia Monchengladbach and RB Leipzig.

Sky Germany report he could oversee some ruthless changes to the squad where only a select few are safe from being moved on this summer.

Harry Kane, who has scored 29 goals in 30 appearances since joining Bayern, is among those ‘untouchables’ alongside Jamal Musiala who is regarded as the face of the club for years to come, according to Sky Germany.

Long-serving duo Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller, the latter who recently extended his contract until 2025, are also safe from the axe.

The report claims the futures of every other member of the Bayern squad are uncertain although the club could face difficulty in offloading those on long-term, highly-paid contracts including Serge Gnabry, Joshua Kimmich, Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman.

But the availability of a number of Bayern stars will likely put Premier League clubs on red alert ahead of the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United and Liverpool have both been credited with interest in Germany international Kimmich.

Manchester City are also thought to be weighing up a move for the midfielder.

Manchester United meanwhile are eager to sign young forward Mathys Tel, according to recent reports which suggest early talks between the two parties have already begun.

Matthijs de Ligt meanwhile is also said to be back on United’s radar.
