This is how the Premier League form table looks on Tuesday.
Worth a look for all Newcastle United fans.
Eddie Howe’s team now building up to a return to Premier League action following this latest international break.
Great wins in the last two Premier League contests, beating Arsenal 1-0 at St James’ Park and then that 3-1 at Forest (of course those swiftly following up the 2-0 cup victory over Chelsea).
Here is the updated Premier League form table on Tuesday, which covers the past six matches for all teams:
The last six PL results for Newcastle United with very latest one listed first:
Forest 1 Newcastle 3
Newcastle 1 Arsenal 0
Chelsea 2 Newcastle 1
Newcastle 0 Brighton 1
Everton 0 Newcastle 0
Newcastle 1 Man City 1
As you can see, Newcastle United now in twelfth place in this newly updated Premier League form table.
NUFC with eight points from two wins, two draws and two defeats, with six goals scored and five conceded.
As for Sunday’s opponents, these are West Ham’s last six PL matches, the very most recent listed first:
West Ham 0 Everton 0
Forest 3 West Ham 0
West Ham 2 Man U 1
Tottenham 4 West Ham 1
West Ham 4 Ipswich 1
Brentford 1 West Ham 1
So West Ham fourteenth in the Premier League form table with eight points from two wins, two draws and two defeats, scoring eight and conceding ten.
West Ham the same number of points as Newcastle in their last six matches, but I think most neutrals would look at the most recent results and performances, as potentially (hopefully!) pointing to the two teams heading in different directions.
Newcastle playing really well against Arsenal and Forest, whilst West Ham losing convincingly at Forest and a poor goalless draw at home to Everton.
This is how the full Premier League table currently now looks on Tuesday 19 November 2024:
These last three wins (including Chelsea in the cup) have given a glimpse of what could be very possible moving forward.
Momentum and confidence are massive things and Newcastle United now have them.
