Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer is reportedly a target for the Premier League top six.

A report from Football Insider claims that the top clubs in English football and other European giants are keen on signing the 21-year-old and it remains to be seen whether they come forward with an official proposal for Palmer at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are hoping to agree on a new deal with the player after his impressive performances this season.

Palmer is undoubtedly the best attacker at the club right now and he has 16 goals and 12 assists to his name in all competitions.

Chelsea will not want to lose the 21-year-old anytime soon and they must look to convince the player to sign a new deal with them.

Chelsea want to reward Cole Palmer

The report states that he has a contract with Chelsea until 2030 and therefore the Blues are not concerned about losing him anytime soon. However, he is not one of the highest earners at the club and the Blues are prepared to reward him financially for his outstanding season so far.

Chelsea have struggled in the attack this season and Palmer has been the only consistent performer for them in the final third. Keeping him happy should be a top priority for the club and they should look to build their attacking unit around him.

The 21-year-old has shown that he has the quality to develop into a top class attacker in the near future and it is hardly a surprise that the elite clubs are keen on signing him. It will be interesting to see whether he decides to sign an improved contract with Chelsea in the coming months.
