EXCLUSIVE: Premiere Entertainment Group has picked up international rights to the satirical comedy Nuked, starring Justin Bartha (The Hangover) and Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect). Premiere will be shopping the pic to international buyers at AFM.
The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and follows a group of friends who gather for a birthday party at a lavish remote estate free from cell phones and children only to learn of their impending deaths as a nuclear missile is headed their way. Lucy Punch, George Young, Ignacio Serricchio, Tawny Newsome, Maulik Pancholy, Stephen Guarino, and Natasha Leggero also co-star in the ensemble comedy.
Deena Kashper wrote and directed the film based on a story by her and Danny Kashper. The film was produced by Julie Christeas, Daryl Freimark, and Deena Kashper.
Premiere’s AFM lineup includes the action thriller Desert Dawn starring Kellan Lutz, the family comedy F Plus starring Randy Couture and Jennifer Esposito, the crime comedy BFFS featuring Terrence Howard and Taye Diggs, and the murder mystery comedy Best Man Dead Man.
Carlos Rincon, Premiere’s SVP of Acquisitions, negotiated the deal with United Talent Agency (UTA) which handles sales in North America.
