Ruud van Nistelrooy takes charge of his final game as Manchester United interim boss on Sunday when the Reds host Leicester City in the Premier League.

In Van Nistelrooy’s first game in charge, United oversaw a 5-2 win over the Foxes in the Carabao Cup and they will be looking for a similar result this weekend.

United then drew 1-1 with Chelsea last weekend before claiming their first win in Europe by beating PAOK 2-0 at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

With little time to prepare, United are back in action against a side looking for revenge after suffering League Cup elimination last month.

Manchester United vs Leicester City will kick off at 2pm on Sunday, 10 November 2024.

The match will not be broadcast in the UK. This means those of you not in attendance will need to find a foreign stream online, or alternatively wait for the highlights to be shown on Match of the Day 2 when it airs at 10.30pm on BBC One.

Stretty News will be providing match coverage throughout the day.

Team News

There was some positive news from the training camp at Carrington this week.

Leny Yoro stepped up his return from foot injury, though isn’t expected to be thrown into action just yet. He was joined in training by Luke Shaw, while Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire remain absent due to injury.

Amad Diallo suffered a knock after scoring a brace against PAOK, but the exciting Ivorian winger should be okay to start on the flank. The game comes too soon for Kobbie Mainoo, who we can expect to return after the November international break.

Leicester City are without Patson Daka, while Jakub Stolarczyk and Jamza Choudhury are considered doubts.

Prediction

Manchester United will make it consecutive wins this weekend. Van Nistelrooy will walk away from his interim manager role unbeaten and questions will be asked if he will be part of Ruben Amorim’s setup.

I can’t see Leicester City shocking us.
