60 million euros, and a rather interesting start. In the first weeks following his arrival at the Parc des Princes, Manuel Ugarte quickly got the public in his pocket. A very complete and determined midfield player, the Uruguayan was quickly called upon to be a captain for Luis Enrique. But as the season progressed, the former Sporting player lost his starting place.

The Spanish coach had therefore decided to move Vitinha back onto the field and thus make room for Warren Zaire-Emery alongside Fabian Ruiz in the Parisian environment. The doors therefore closed for Ugarte, who attended the big meetings of the season from the sidelines, content to play the matches without any real stakes.

A departure for La Liga?

A logically difficult situation for the main person concerned, who could already change clubs this summer. In recent weeks, for example, there has been talk of a pronounced interest from AC Milan in his services. There had also been rumors regarding Juventus, a sign that the player retains quite a popularity rating on the market.

According to Cadena COPE, the player is also followed in Spain. Atlético de Madrid are therefore very interested in the Parisian midfielder. The Colchoneros want to strengthen their midfielder and the Uruguayan has a profile that fits quite well with what Diego Simeone is looking for. However, we imagine that the Parisians will not let him go easily after the significant investment last summer…
