An announcement that had the effect of a bomb. This Thursday, during the UEFA congress and faced with the intransigence of the Marie de Paris and Anne Hildalgo not to sell the Parc des Princes, the boss of Paris Saint-Germain Nasser Al-Khelaifi declared that the club wanted to leave its historic grounds.

The Rouge et Bleu, like the biggest European clubs, own their own stadium. But faced with the refusal of the city of Paris, the leaders are looking for solutions.

However, certain legends of the club and some of the supporters (the ultras) wish to stay at the Parc des Princes. Asked by RMC Sport, Former PSG striker Amara Diané spoke on this subject.

“It would really be ideal for the Park to remain for Parisians. It’s a shame! If it has to be done, it will be done but, for my part, if I am asked, I would like us to stay at the Park. The Park is a legendary stadium. There are so many things that happened there and we must not forget it. There have been us, there have been people before us, there have been people after us and there will still be people who will come. When there is a story, you have to keep it. Because that’s what makes you a great team. It’s a shame! It’s really a shame it’s come to this. »

The Ultras do not want to hear about leaving the Park

In addition to certain former players, several supporters, particularly the Ultras (the CUP), spoke out about a possible departure from the historic venue. And for them, the Parc des Princes is and will remain the home of Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG is the Parc des Princes and the Parc des Princes is PSG. We do not envisage being the generation of supporters who will have seen the club leave its forever lair,” they declared in a press release this Friday.
