One of Paris Saint-Germain’s 2023 summer recruits is on the radar of a big name in the Italian championship.

Manuel Ugarte is having a mixed first season at Paris Saint-Germain. Landed last summer from Sporting in exchange for a check for 60 million euros, the defensive midfielder made a convincing debut under the Parisian colors.

Subsequently, Ugarte saw his performance drop during important matches, notably in the Champions League. After that, he finally settled into the roster rotation.

One year and then gone?

Since the start of this 2023-24 financial year, the Uruguayan has played 35 matches in all competitions, including 26 starts and 3 assists. Despite his current status, Ugarte is attracting the interest of certain European clubs, notably Juventus Turin according to the Gazetta dello Sport.

The Milanese daily indicates this Tuesday that the Old lady could go on the offensive from the next transfer window. It remains to be seen whether Ugarte, under contract until June 2028, will be open to the idea of joining Serie A, but above all whether Parisian management will be willing to let him leave after only one year.
