PSG: Achraf Hakimi has made his decision for his future

A bromance. Upon his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain for 65 million euros in 2021, Achraf Hakimi immediately got along well with Kylian Mbappé. A friendship that went beyond just football. The two footballers who are the same age, namely 25, spend their free time together. This was the case again this week as they flew off for a few days’ getaway to Barcelona. The Moroccan, who has always been able to count on the support of KM7 even during his hard times (his sexual assault affair, his separation from his partner, editor’s note), appreciates the Frenchman and more broadly his family. Moreover, Mbappé’s mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, tried to recover Hakimi within her consulting firm.

Hakimi does not plan to leave immediately

Which made the representative of the Atlas Lion, Alejandro Camaño, jump. Asked by A.S. last June, he made things clear. “We are surprised that the sole fact of being the mother of a major player could interfere in the market. Achraf is part of the Footfeel family, he has been convinced of the project for many years and he has a personal relationship with Kylian that we respect, and we like him for that. But the fact that Mbappé’s environment (…) lets it filter that Achraf can be part of his agency is unusual because of his lack of experience in the market. Far from all these stories now, the footballer born in 98 can concentrate on the pitch.

But his future has been the subject of more discussion than ever in recent days. Since the announcement of KM7’s departure at the end of the season, many have been wondering about the future of his teammate and friend, Hakimi. A.S. took stock of the subject this Friday. The Iberian media explains that the full-back intends to complete his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. He is therefore not considering leaving before 2026, he who has never asked to leave as was announced by certain media. Despite everything, AS specifies that he had doubts last summer when he did not really know where the club was going, between the departures of Messi and Neymar and the conflict with KM7. But the arrival of Luis Enrique reassured the player, on whom Paris is counting more than ever.

Ready to meet his friend Mbappé in Madrid?

The residents of the Parc des Princes hope to keep it beyond 2026. Indeed, the Iberian media indicates that the Parisians have already informed the Moroccan’s agent that they intend to discuss a new contract soon. For the moment, discussions between the two parties on the subject have not started. But PSG will have to take action quickly since the former Inter Milan player already has prestigious suitors on his tail. The first is Manchester City. The English greatly appreciate the profile of the Ile-de-France player. They had already tested the waters last summer when Kyle Walker was leaving. A flashback cannot be ruled out.

The other club that is interested is Real Madrid. A team that Achraf knows very well since he spent many years there. The Merengues are closely following his case, they who must prepare for the future since the contracts of Lucas Vazquez and Dani Carvajal end respectively in 2024 and 2025. A return of the Moroccan to Casa Blanca is not excluded. Especially since his friend Mbappé will also be there. A.S. adds that other clubs have their eye on him but will struggle to line up to pay the player a big salary. Currently, he earns more than 12 million euros per year in Paris. After KM7, the French club will soon have to settle the Hakimi file.
