Paris Saint-Germain is entering a new era. After Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr in 2023, Kylian Mbappé left the ship this summer 2024. The residents of the Parc des Princes want to continue on their new line of conduct, namely more stars and glitter as admitted by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. Led by Luis Campos, the Parisians have decided to recruit a new defender. The idea is to strengthen a sector with which there have been some problems.

Indeed, Lucas Hernandez was seriously injured. Presnel Kimpembe, for his part, has not played for a while. Recruited last year, Milan Skriniar, for his part, has not really given satisfaction. For all these reasons, the Parisians, who already got their hands on Lucas Beraldo during the month of January, want new blood in defense. The name of Aymeric Laporte, crowned European champion with the Roja, was mentioned by The Beach Bar.

Pacho is Parisian

But it is not he who will join the ranks of the team trained by Luis Enrique. PSG has decided to bet on Willian Pacho. Information revealed on August 5 by Sky Germany. The German media outlet mentioned a strong interest from the Parisians for the Eintracht Frankfurt defender before quickly talking about an agreement for a transfer of €40 million, plus €5 million in bonuses. All parties have thus reached an agreement and the transfer of the 22-year-old Ecuadorian has just been made official.

“Willian Pacho signs with Paris Saint-Germain until 2029 (…) Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to welcome Willian Pacho. The 22-year-old central defender, who will wear number 51, thus becomes the first Ecuadorian player in the history of the Club”we can read in the press release. Starting 42 times last season, the player, author of 2 assists, will make a new start in Paris and dream even bigger.
