Euro 2024 promises to be uncertain for this offensive recruit from Paris Saint-Germain.

Arriving free at Paris Saint-Germain last summer to compensate for the departures of Lionel Messi and Neymar, Marco Asensio has not yet fully convinced.

Hampered by injuries, first to the foot then to the hamstrings, Asensio has only played 19 matches in Parisian colors this season. His statistics (5 goals and 4 assists) are not bad, but he has not yet shown the full extent of his talent.

A Parisian future to be confirmed

According to the media Don Balon, Asensio's current performances do not guarantee him a place in the Spanish selection for Euro 2024 in Germany. The former Real Madrid member will have to find his best form at the end of the season to hope to be among the 23 players selected by Luis de la Fuente.

The outcome of the second part of the 2023-24 financial year will therefore be crucial for Asensio. If he wants to consolidate his place in the Spanish team and assert himself at PSG, the Majorcan will have to compete with players like Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola.
