After being excluded for a tackle on Kylian Mbappé on Wednesday, Lilian Brassier was the victim of numerous insults on social networks.

THE Paris Saint Germain had a nice scare this Wednesday. If Luis Enrique’s men did not have too much difficulty in defeating Stade Brestois (3-1) to reach the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France, they thought they would lose Kylian Mbappé one week before the reception of Real Sociedad in the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League. In the 68th minute, the French international was indeed the victim of a dangerous tackle from Lilian Brassier which severely twisted his left ankle. Fortunately for the 25-year-old and for PSG, the first tests were quite reassuring.

Brassier victim of racist insults

But for her part, Lilian Brassier must face a phenomenon that is all too common in modern football. Since his exclusion from the Parc des Princes, the Brest defender has been the victim of numerous insults (“Murderer, butcher”) and receives other comments from people wishing him a serious injury. Some have often gone further by writing racist comments under his last Instagram publication, dating from the draw between PSG and Brest in the championship on January 29. “Stupid monkey” or “dirty monkey” were thus published under his publication. Following these actions, the 24-year-old received numerous messages of support on social networks.

” I feel guilty. I hope it’s nothing serious for him, but it’s part of football. I wanted to intervene directly with the ball at my feet, unfortunately I missed”he indicated after the meeting.
