The Moscardo file drags on and it is visibly starting to annoy the management of Corinthians prodigiously. As a reminder, Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian club had agreed on the transfer of the young 18-year-old defensive midfielder in exchange for a check for €20 million. But since the announcement of the player’s problem with his left foot (a problem which requires an operation), the capital club has been dragging things out.
Recently, the Brazilian press assured that everything seemed to be on the right track. After demanding the insertion of a clause allowing it to break the deal, PSG would have waived this clause. Better still, the media announced that only a few details remained to be resolved. But clearly, something is going on behind the scenes, if we are to believe the latest statements from the new president of Corinthians, Augusto Melo. Very annoyed, the latter actually asked PSG to let Moscardo return to Brazil.

I asked him to come back. He is with them (the PSG staff, editor’s note), the operation will take place, but afterwards… So give him back to me. I’m sure this boy is a reality, he’ll come back to form and he’ll be sold for a lot more than he is today. In two months he will be back”declared the president of Timão in an interview on the show “Domingol”.
A rant which is not surprising in itself, even if Moscardo’s staff would not be aware of presidential desires according to Globoesporte. Last week, the Paulist leaders had already put pressure on by posing an ultimatum to the Parisians, demanding that they finalize the transfer before the end of the week. Not enough to move PSG. In front of this situation, Globoesporte indicates that the Corinthians eventually grew tired. Will Paris try to make up for it? The vagueness still remains in this file.
