Gabriel Moscardo sees the end of the tunnel. Recruited by Paris Saint-Germain last winter in exchange for €22 million, including bonus, the young 18-year-old Brazilian defensive midfielder experienced a big setback. The fault was a problem discovered with his left foot, before his transfer to the Rouge et Bleu was made official. A physical problem requiring an operation (and a three-month break) which dragged out negotiations between Paris and the Corinthians.

In the end, Moscardo signed with PSG and the capital club immediately loaned him to Timão. The Parisians' objective was clear: let the Brazilian recover with his family and have him quietly resume competition with his original club before his arrival in Europe next July. Last month, the news concerning him was rather good. After treatment at the Aspetar Medical Center in Qatar, Moscardo was walking without restriction on his operated foot and a return to training was planned for early March.

Moscardo returned to training

Since then, things have continued to evolve favorably. In a report broadcast on the Corinthians TV channel, we can see the neo-Parisian performing physical exercises with his teammates. Back in training, Moscardo will soon become an option for the coach of the Paulista team, Antonio Olivieira. A small turnaround in the situation since President Augusto Melo recently indicated that Moscardo should no longer play for Corinthians and that he was present at the training center only to recover from his operation.

Gazeta Esportiva indeed ensures that the player should be available for the team between early and mid-April. In two, three weeks basically. Excellent news for the Portuguese technician. “Not long ago the club sold a player, Gabriel, who is still with us and who could well be an option when he recovers”, he said, delighted to have another option in Raniele, the main starter in recovery. Soon back on his feet, Moscardo will perhaps have the opportunity to play a series of matches before taking off for Paris. Because between now and June 30, Corinthians have no less than 23 matches on the program: two in the Brazilian Cup, six in the Sul-Americana Cup and fifteen in the league.
