Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is set to remain a Napoli player next season despite links to PSG and Barca.

The Georgia international played a vital role in Napoli’s stunning Serie A victory in 2023, but the club collapsed in their title defense. The Neapolitans are almost certain to miss out on a qualifying place for the Champions League thanks to the championship.

The 1-1 draw at Naples made for a very interesting second leg on March 12, which could be a decisive moment for the Campania club’s campaign. Kvaratskhelia’s contract at the Maradona Stadium runs until June 2027 and the club view him as a valuable asset, with an estimated transfer value of around €80 million.

Asked about the growing speculation surrounding the 23-year-old’s future, his father suggested he would stay in Italy for at least one more year.

Kvaradona expected to stay at Napoli

“He is the only one who can choose to stay in Naples, but I think he will continue to wear the Napoli jersey. In any case, I will respect his decision,” according to comments reported by Football Italia.

Kvaratskhelia could yet break his personal best in goals for the season, having scored 12 league goals in the win, and eight so far in 2023/24.
