With Lucas Beraldo, Gabriel Moscardo is the other Brazilian bet at €20 million attempted by Paris Saint-Germain this season. But unlike the central defender, the young Moscardo has still not set foot at the Parc des Princes. As a reminder, the 18-year-old Corinthians midfielder underwent surgery on his left foot just after signing for PSG. A surgical procedure which forced him to stop his career for three months. Today, the native of Taubaté seems back on his feet. This is what the media explained Gazeta Esportiva which ensures that Moscardo is 100% recovered and that the technical staff has declared him fit to play.

However, still no Moscardo on the lawns of the Brazilian Serie A which has just resumed. On April 12, the player was not included in the list of 35 elements selected to start the championship. Information which did not cause concern since Brazilian clubs have until September 9 to add players (for a maximum total of 50 names). But since then, a question remains. Why is Moscardo still not playing when his coach has publicly declared that he considers him available?

Still no green light from management

On April 30, one of the leaders of Corinthians, Fabinho Soldado, kicked into touch. “Moscardo is currently being treated. I think it’s premature to talk about it, he’s still recovering. I don’t think that’s a question at the moment. It’s important to think about the players who are here, at the coach’s disposal. Recover those who need to be recovered and set out in search of our objectives”he declared in comments relayed by Globoesporte.

Almost a month later, Corinthians management has still not given the green light. Why ? Globoesporte mentioned internal debates. Some say that president Augusto Melo has still not digested the sale of the player carried out by the former management (just before his arrival) for only €20 million. The Brazilian media also raises doubts about Moscardo’s physical abilities after such a long period of absence. In the meantime, PSG, which sent the midfielder back on loan to his training club so that he has playing time before his arrival in France, hopes that this situation will resolve. History that Moscardo does not arrive in the French capital without having played a single match.
