The summer transfer window has not yet opened its doors and Paris Saint-Germain is already preparing to register a first reinforcement. In advanced discussions with the capital club, Matvey Safonov, current goalkeeper for FK Krasnodar in Russia and Luis Campos’ latest find, is very close to joining the Ile-de-France ranks next season. In this sense, should Gianluigi Donnarumma be worried about his rank? Above all, can this arrival call into question his future at PSG? Arriving in Paris in 2021, the Italian goalkeeper quickly established himself as the indisputable starter in the Parisian goals, despite competition with Keylor Navas. Linked to the Rouge et Bleu until June 2026, the transalpine international still seems destined for a number 1 place and has no intention of packing up, according to the words of his agent, Enzo Raiola.

“Is he staying at PSG? He has two years left on his contract with the club, he is happy, he is part of a medium and long term project in which we hope in the coming years to reach the Champions League in which Paris has been investing for years but this is not the case. “It’s not easy, let’s hope we can achieve this goal”he declared in an interview with Radio Sportiva. In the meantime, Gianluigi Donnarumma will head to Germany to play Euro 2024 with the Squadra Azzurra.
