PSG targets the new nugget of SL Benfica

Like the placard O Jogo on its front page this Thursday morning, a prospect is thrilling all the biggest European clubs. This is João Neves from SL Benfica. The 19-year-old midfielder is the new jewel of the Portuguese club and is eyeing Bayern Munich, Liverpool and now PSG as reported by the Portuguese daily. A track validated by sports advisor Luís Campos who has already been convinced by its qualities. Under contract with the Lisbon club until 2028, João Neves has a release clause worth €120 million. The Portuguese club wants to increase it to €150. Note that the 19-year-old crack has the lowest salary in the squad.

The biggest salaries in the 5 major European championships

It is only in France that the newspaper The Team did its salary survey. In its interior pages, the French daily takes stock of those abroad. No ranking for each club, it would be much too long, but here is the top 1 in the 5 major championships. We start with La Liga with David Alaba who takes the lead in the ranking with his €1.88 million per month. This ranking should be shaken up next season with the arrival of Kylian Mbappé who dominates that in France with no less than €6 million monthly gross. In Her Majesty's Kingdom, De Bruyne is the big winner with just over €2 million. He is ahead of Harry Kane in Germany and his €2.1 million. Finally in Italy, Victor Osimhen took advantage of his last extension to renegotiate his contract upwards. He receives nearly €1.5 million.

Luis Rubiales sued

In Spain, new scandal for the Spanish federation. And it concerns Luis Rubiales, the former president. For the newspaper Sportthis time, Rubiales is “cornered”. While the Spanish selection was training nearby, searches were carried out on the premises of the Spanish federation. It was as part of an investigation into irregularities in the contracts which allowed the organization of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia. They were signed at the time by Luis Rubiales who definitely accumulates pans. For the newspaper Marca it's quite simply “ashamed”. For A.S.this new scandal marks the “end of the Rubiales era” for real. Finally, the Mundo Deportivo reports that the ex-president is the target of an arrest warrant in his name. The latter is currently in the Dominican Republic and the country does not have an extradition treaty with Spain.
