Paris Saint-Germain remains attentive to the situation of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Georgian winger from Naples, with a possible relaunch this winter. Despite the satisfactory performances of Bradley Barcola, the Parisian club wants to strengthen its left flank to compete with the young Frenchman.
A release clause under negotiation
Negotiations between Kvaratskhelia and Naples are intensifying around a contract extension. If the two parties seem close to a salary agreement (between €6M and €8M per year), the amount of the release clause remains a point of friction. The 23-year-old winger wants to set this clause at €80m, a figure which could facilitate a transfer to PSG. However, Serie A leaders Napoli would be reluctant to give up one of their pillars in the middle of the season.
Confirmed interest
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG are ready to make a comeback this winter after missing out on signing Kvaratskhelia last summer. Coach Luis Enrique, looking for a left-handed winger with a “false foot”, sees him as a major asset for his offensive system.
