A white season is looming for Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe.

Presnel Kimpembe is having a nightmare season. After a long period of convalescence following a first surgical procedure, the Paris Saint-Germain central defender underwent a new operation last January, seriously compromising his chances of returning to the field this season.

Initially hoped for the spring, Kimpembe’s return is now uncertain. The 28-year-old himself is cautious.

Kimpembe wants to return to 100%

“A return to the field this season? Complicated, because it is an injury which is quite rare in football, explains Kimpembe in comments reported by RMC Sport. Complicated because it’s several months of abstinence, of resilience. »

“It’s shadow work,” he adds. Not everyone sees this and can understand it. But I remain focused on my goals. The most important thing is to come back well, 100%. »

The absence of Kimpembe for PSG and for Kimpembe, who extended his contract until June 2026 last summer. The Parisian club could therefore do without its central defender for the rest of the season, which will be a handicap for the rest of the season.
