Luis Enrique, PSG coach, maintains uncertainty around Presnel Kimpembe.
Presnel Kimpembe is forced to chomp at the bit at Paris Saint-Germain. Almost two months after resuming collective training, the French central defender, victim of a ruptured Achilles tendon in February 2023, has still not received the green light to return to competition.
The Parisian medical staff judges the 2018 world champion still unfit to play. Kimpembe was however called up to the group for the trip to Bayern Munich (0-1) in the Champions League on November 26, without appearing on the match sheet. Coach Luis Enrique had calmed the enthusiasm, explaining that his player was “still in the recovery phase”.
Luis Enrique remains evasive for Kimpembe
Several weeks later, the situation remains unclear, and the Spanish coach seems unable to provide clear answers about Kimpembe. For his part, the main person concerned would consider himself ready to argue for a few minutes.
“The truth is, I don’t know when he’s going to come back. I love it when players come back from injury. Training is the best weapon to see what state they are in.”explained Lucho at a press conference.
