While the signing of his first professional contract is the talk of the town, Senny Mayulu has garnered praise from his trainer Luis Enrique. The attacking midfielder had two starts in Ligue 1, taking advantage of the turnover made by the Spanish coach. And he was pretty convincing. Asked about his 17-year-old player, Luis Enrique said what he liked about his profile.

“Mayulu is one of the nice surprises. He can play inside, outside. When you look at the lower categories, for me he is a perfect player for my type of game. He is similar to Warren (Zaire-Emery, editor’s note) in this aspect of the game. I am very happy that he continues at the club and that he wants to renew his contract here. I think he will be an important player in the future.”he said, confirming in passing the imminence of the signing of a professional contract.
