Arriving in the very last hours of the 2023 summer transfer window from Eintracht Frankfurt for the sum of 90 million euros, Randal Kolo Muani has struggled to convince since his arrival.

If he shines in the French team under the leadership of Didier Deschamps, this is not the case at club level where he has lost his starting place for several months.

Nevertheless, the Frenchman seems determined at the start of the season. The number 23 intends to reverse the trend and establish himself as a potential starter on the attack front. Since the start of the season, he has found the back of the net twice, including one during the Parisians’ last outing on the pitch of Lille OSC.

Present at a press conference this Friday, Luis Enrique sent a strong message to journalists concerning his striker. For him, Randal Kolo Muani will shine this year.

“I try with my own tools to find the best version of each player. We know the case of Kolo Muani. He is a very high-level player, there is no doubt about it. He has enormous pressure because he has returned to his city, to his club. I am looking for the best version of Kolo Muani. I see him more confident every day, more relaxed. He has scored goals and that is important for a striker.

And to continue: “I liked what I saw last year, I liked the version of Kolo Muani. We can improve it and I think you will see a more liberated version of Kolo Muani, with a greater capacity to find his fullness. When he is in full possession of his means, Kolo Muani is a very high level player.” First element of response this Saturday during the 4th day of Ligue 1 against Stade Brestois.
