On Wednesday evening, Paris Saint-Germain will face Real Sociedad in the round of 16 first leg of the UEFA Champions League. Before this meeting, Relevo interviewed Luis Fernandez. The former Parisian player and coach, who also had a career in Spain, delivered his prediction, who believes that PSG are favorites against a Basque team which has talent and potential and which “does things very well“. Then, when he was questioned about the new PSG, which has improved according to him; he let go about Mauricio Pochettino and Christophe Galtier.

“What happens is that the media fails to detect or analyze PSG in the best way, but Luis Enrique does a good job because I liked his way of being and working (… ) Everyone wants to beat them because of what it means, but Luis Enrique brought order tactically, something neither Pochettino nor Galtier did. They didn’t do it because they were afraid of the players. Luis has changed his attitude and we see that the players are on the right track. This is not the strongest PSG in recent times. The PSG of Neymar and Messi was another team, another way of acting, of playing. Messi is one of the greatest, Neymar too. But Paris allowed them to do what they wanted, what they wanted to do. But on the ground there is a demand. Neymar suffered, he didn’t have the same behavior he had in Barcelona. I saw him play fearsomely there. Here he only played well the first year.” The message has gotten through.
