Milan Škriniar surely expected better at Paris Saint-Germain. Followed by the Parisian club since the summer of 2022, the former Inter Milan player finally joined Paris, free of any contract, a year later. Often lined up in Luis Enrique’s starting XI in the first part of the season, the 29-year-old then suffered an ankle injury last January. A physical problem which kept him away from the field for three months. A delay which was enough for him to lose his place as a starter in the Parisian defense.
Unconvincing on his return, Škriniar was shown the exit door by the Parisian management. Clubs from Italy, England and Saudi Arabia, including Al-Nassr, have expressed their desire to recruit the ex-Sampdoria player. But Škriniar never followed up on these interests and indicated that he wanted to stay at PSG for this 2024-2025 financial year. “ I want to stay in Paris of course, I still have four years of contract. I am very happy, my family too. If I hadn’t gotten injured, we would be talking about my season differently. Nobody told me anything at the club about a possible departure “, he indicated last June.
Oral agreement with Juventus, Paris wants more
For his second season, the Slovak therefore left with better ambitions. But, Luis Enrique obviously has ideas different from his. Since the start of this season, Milan Škriniar has only played 381 minutes. With the advent of Willian Pacho and the returns of Lucas Hernández and Presnel Kimpembe, his playing time risks significantly decreasing. An observation that Škriniar understood, who is open to leaving the capital club. Furthermore, his situation has not escaped certain European clubs, including in Italy.
According to our information, Juventus – which had already positioned itself on the Slovak this summer – has returned to the charge for this winter. THE Bianconeri wish to compensate for the absence of Gleison Breimer, out for the rest of the season, with the arrival of the former Inter captain. Milan Škriniar has already given his agreement to join the Turin club. Negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain have already started. The Parisian club is demanding a large sum from the Italians, who wish to include different players to facilitate the operation. It remains to be seen what solution will be found between the Ile-de-France club and the Piedmont club, to allow Milan Škriniar to leave Paris and join Turin.
