PSG: new major revelations on the Joao Neves case

The transfer of Joao Neves to PSG is on track, however some administrative details remain to be resolved.

Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to welcome their new recruit, Joao Neves, Portuguese midfielder from Benfica.

Although his departure from Lisbon to the French capital now seems a done deal, the management of Águias has revealed that one last step remains to be taken to finalise the operation valued at 70 million euros.

Latest details on the transfer

“In the terms and for the purposes legally applicable, and taking into account the news published in the media, Benfica Lisbon informs that the formalization of the process related to the transfer of the player Joao Neves to PSG is practically complete, but that to date, the contract for this operation has not been signed by all parties”indicates an official press release published on the website of the Securities Market Commission (CMVM).

The Lisbon club also adds: “The company will update this information under the conditions and for the purposes legally applicable as soon as necessary.”
