Nico Williams has to choose. Barcelona have made him their number one target this summer, while Paris Saint-Germain are also trying.

Athletic Club and Spain star Nico Williams has been in the Spanish sports headlines this summer, and not just for his exploits at Euro 2024. Barcelona have made him their top transfer target, while Paris Saint-Germain are also trying to snatch him from Bilbao.

It seems Williams isn’t too fazed, as videos show him living it up in Marbella with his La Roja teammate Lamine Yamal, and that’s partly because he’s already made up his mind about his future. According to Marca, the 22-year-old has already made up his mind about his future, but has yet to reveal it to anyone other than his inner circle, likely his agent and family.

PSG on the lookout

Next week, he is expected to reveal his decision to the clubs concerned. PSG contacted his agent this week about a transfer, while Barcelona have been in talks with Felix Tainta for several weeks, although Williams has yet to accept their offer either. If he stays at Athletic, he is also expected to receive a pay rise to remain at the club as they return to European competition.
