Last summer, Luis Enrique joined Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish technician came accompanied by his staff, where a certain Joaquin Valdes took his place. This former judoka, who became a psychologist, has been supporting the Asturian for sixteen years now. This Wednesday, The Team says more about this man in the shadows, present at all the Parisian coach’s press conferences as well as in the locker room, where he observes. He is a real support for Luis Enrique, who did everything to bring him in despite the reluctance of Luis Campos.

As for the PSG players, it’s something else. Valdes, which offers several services (relaxation, mental visualization to manage emotions) can communicate with players who wish to do so. Problem is, not many people come to consult him. The sports daily explains that certain elements of the group “sulk or even ignore its services“. Others do not necessarily want to confide because of his close ties with Luis Enrique. Finally, some are already being followed outside the club. The PSG psychologist, however, has his work cut out for him, he who is working with the coach in order to approach the C1 meeting against Real Sociedad with calm and serenity.
