PSG – Real Sociedad: 12 Parisian supporters arrested on the sidelines of kick-off

This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain hosts Real Sociedad at the Parc des Princes in the round of 16 of the Champions League. If the most prestigious European competition offers us an enticing poster, the police are on alert a few hours before kick-off. According to the latest news, it seems that the tension has increased a notch in the streets of Ile-de-France.

In order to avoid a clash between supporters of the two clubs identified by the intelligence directorate of the police headquarters (DRPP), the authorities arrested a dozen Parisian supporters “claiming to be ultra-right” near the Forum des Halles before the latter were taken into police custody for “participation in a group with the aim of committing violence or damage”, according to a police source. According to a source close to PSG relayed by The Parisianit would however be “unwelcome ex-supporters at the stadium and not carrying tickets”.
