French coach Frédéric Antonetti is certain that PSG will suffer in their C1 round of 16 against Real Sociedad.

On February 14, during the 8th round of the Champions League, PSG will host Real Sociedad at home. On paper, the French champions are favorites in this confrontation but many specialists are worried about Luis Enrique’s team.

Frédéric Antonetti, the experienced French coach, is concerned because he believes that the game suits the Basques perfectly. “They are countered every time and it was obvious against Strasbourg, he noted on Canal+. And Real’s style of play is to go after the opponent. The betting style suits them very well. So watch out for danger. They are passive in conservation, in preparation and are easily countered.”

Antonetti concerned for PSG

He continues by highlighting the other shortcomings of this team: “A good team is variety. You have to be able to do everything. Girona, for example, knows how to extend and it’s not a shame to extend.”

The Corsican nevertheless specifies that everything is not negative at the moment among the Ile-de-France residents: “The positive side is that they are good at counterattacks and high pressing. Where they are less good is when they try to come from behind.”
