Things are not going well between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain. For a little over a year now, the capital club and the captain of the Blues have been engaged in a merciless war. It all started last summer when the Bondynois refused to activate the clause allowing him to extend his contract until June 2025. Which meant that he would leave on a free in June 2024. He had also sent a letter to the Parisians to announce the news.

News that had not gone down well at all within the PSG staff. Terribly angry, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, whose relations with Mbappé had cooled over the years, blacklisted the Frenchman, who was sent to the Parisian loft. It took the intervention of Luis Campos and Luis Enrique to smooth things over and for the striker to be reinstated in the Parisian group. After a mixed last year, KM7 left Paris and joined Real Madrid on a free, thus becoming KM9

PSG is solid on its supports

But his story with PSG is not over yet. For several months, the two parties have been in conflict over salaries (April, May and June 2024) and bonuses that have not been paid to the player. We are talking about €55 million here. Launched into a standoff, both Paris and Mbappé have stuck to their positions. Despite an attempt at mediation in recent days between the two parties (the Mbappé clan refused, editor’s note), this conflict took a new turn this Thursday. Indeed, the LFP legal committee ruled in favor of the French footballer.

PSG has eight days to pay the €55 million owed to the Real Madrid star. Except that the Parisian team refuses to pay. “In light of the limits of the legal competence of the LFP commission to take a complete decision on this matter, it must now be brought before another jurisdiction”Paris said in a press release. Another club source told AFP: “we don’t pay.” The Mbappé clan will therefore have to go to the industrial tribunal to obtain what is due to them, according to PSG. The war continues…
